Feryal Clark MP, APPG Chair

Feryal Clark was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology between 9 July 2024 and 7 September 2025. She was elected Labour MP for Enfield North in July 2024. 

She studied Bioinformatics at the University of Exeter. 

She was Shadow Minister for Crime Reduction from November 2023 to July 2024. 

She was Shadow Minister for Health from September 2023 to November 2023. 

She was Shadow Minister for Primary Care and Patient Safety from December 2021 to September 2023 

Clark was elected as MP for Enfield North in the 2019 general election. Before this she was councillor for Brownswood ward in the London Borough of Hackney from 2006 until 2014 when she was elected for Hoxton East & Shoreditch ward. She rose to become the Deputy Mayor of Hackney and Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care, Leisure and Parks. 

Lord Sharpe of Epsom OBE

Lord Sharpe of Epsom OBE was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Home Office between 20 September 2022 and 5 July 2024.

Andrew was previously a Government Whip (Lord in Waiting) between 8 October 2021 and 20 September 2022.

Nick Smith MP

Nick Smith is the MP for Blaenau Gwent and Rhymney,  He was first elected in 2010 to the seat of Blaenau Gwent, Prior to Parliament Nick Smith served as a Councillor on Camden Council from 1998 to 2006.

Baroness Uddin

Baroness Uddin was raised to the peerage as Baroness Uddin, of Bethnal Green in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in 1998. She is not affiliated with any group or party. She was the youngest woman on the benches and the only Muslim and Asian woman to be appointed to the House of Lords. She was invited to the House of Lords for her contribution to the advancement of women and disability rights.

Baroness Uddin was born in 1959 and came over from Bangladesh in 1973. She was educated in the University of North London, where she earned her diplomacy in social work. Uddin started her professional career by creating and leading community working groups. In 1980, she started working as a Youth and Community worker with the YWCA, and then a Liaison Officer for Tower Hamlets Social Services, and Manager of Tower Hamlets Women’s Health Project. In 1990, she was elected a Labour Councillor in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets; the first Bangladeshi Woman to hold such an office of a local authority in the UK.

Since entering the House of Lords, Baroness Uddin continues to champion a range of initiatives and organizations which promote women’s participation in civil society, violence against women and human rights, in the UK and internationally with a number of governments in the Muslim world. She is a passionate promoter of diplomacy and conflict resolution, having travelled extensively to a number of Middle East and European countries on bridge-building missions.​
